![]() Internationally, the film has earned $39.7 million, bringing the global total up to $83.4 million.ĭisney and Pixar have released seven animated movies in November over the past 25 years, according to figures compiled by movie consultancy Franchise Entertainment Research. ![]() In the weeks since, the movie has trudged on to a domestic total of $43.6 million. The Walt Disney Animation Studios musical-comedy Wish underperformed dismally, earning $19.6 million in its opening weekend over the Thanksgiving holiday. Iger's announcement came in the same month that saw more disappointment at the box office. The Walt Disney Company is facing a difficult future following a tumultuous year. And who knows, maybe there will be some new ones soon. The above image shows an illustration of popular Disney character Mickey Mouse. And they tell the story perfectly!Īnd there you have it!! Most of the book openings are Winnie the Pooh movies, which is ok. The vases show the story- with the help of the muses. But it still starts with Once Upon A Time! The stained glass window is a great opening instead of a book. Slightly different from the others, but still cute. But it starts that way! And it starts of course, with a book. Now I know this isn’t a full animated movie. This one is pretty good, it starts like the rest of the Winnie the Pooh movies….Īnd then Tigger pops up! It’s so cute for him to want to share his story. It is also the only one with the original author listed on the cover! This book is way cuter than the rest. Walt had special ideas in mind for these stories & they did well. Winnie the Pooh! Most of these movies are built off books but this one took it to be next level. Just a different color, title & fabric background.ĩ) The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977) Also, the book is almost exactly the one in The Jungle Book. It was one of their cheapest movies to make I think. This one is another one that had a song to it! This movie uses a lot of scenes/ movements from The Jungle Book & Snow White. This one is probably the most recognizable book in all these movies as well. The Jungle Book, the only one with ‘book’ in the title! And one of Walt Disney’s last movies he helped work on. I love how the books looks not as glamorous as the rest we’ve seen, it looks like Merlin could’ve read it (or maybe wrote it) himself. Gotta love this movie!! This one not only starts with a book, but the text is sung. I love it! Plus I love the opening of the story. Sleeping Beauty gets the most blinged out Book- of course. The artwork in the book is unique and it really goes with the story. It’s Cinderella!! I have to say, I love this opening a lot. Now I know what your thinking: “that’s the most boring book ever.” But never judge a book by its cover! Haha Honestly, this is the best Halloween story ever told. The front of the book isn’t as cool as the side, which we see more of!Īfter Toad’s fun story, we go to Ichabod Crane. Toad, the “most fabulous character in English literature”. This one gets 2! Since there’s two story’s, they figured why not. This one also seems animated where the others might be originals.ģ) Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. But for this one, they have Jiminy Cricket in the scene opening the book. Granted, it’s only the second movie for Disney. I’m pretty sure it started the tradition! ![]() The very first Disney movie started with a book. Like my other lists, we will start from the beginning of Disney’s animated films. I wondered, how many Disney movies start with books opening for the story? So then, I decided I’d make a list!! Cuz why not?! I was watching some old Disney movies one day & I had an idea.
